Poppy is a Manchester based photographer, her work explores the complexities of femininity, gender expectations, and the societal constructs that shape the perception of women. Through photography, she examines the dualities imposed on women—softness and strength, purity and desire, freedom and constraint—questioning the narratives that dictate these roles. Inspired by feminist discourse, historical archetypes, and the psychological pressures of conformity, her images challenge ingrained ideals while celebrating authenticity, vulnerability, and resistance. By using texture, light, and the female form, Poppy creates visual dialogues that confront, subvert, and reimagine the definition of womanhood.
